Comments: I came to Dr. Downey after wanting to get a second opinion (after having been to another doctor, who I will say is the Polar Opposite of Dr Downey!!).
Anyway, not only was Dr Downey the most gracious and attentive and overall outstanding doctor I have ever seen for any surgery, but also including PCP’s.
Dr Downey put a plate and 2 pins on my 5th metacarpal just yesterday.
He was at all my appts prior to surgery (meaning he didn’t send a PA) and while in office he explained everything in detail about my injury and also the upcoming procedure….and he looked me in the eye while doing so. I cannot say enough about his bedside manner. And just by reading his résumé and honors and his past history, I feel 1000% sure my surgery and recovery will be phenomenal.
