Comments: I had ongoing pain 6 months post op from a Cartiva implant from a previous doctor. I was referred to Dr. Downey for a 2nd opinion. After my consult with Dr. Downey I decided the best option was to remove the Cartiva implant and replace with the Arthrosurface Boss total big toe joint replacement. I am 5 weeks post op and am very happy with the outcome. The pain has been minimal and I’m getting more range of motion everyday. I would highly recommend Dr. Downey! The quality of care I have received is outstanding. He is truly one of the most compassionate and patient doctors I’ve ever met. I never felt rushed and he answered all my many questions and made drawings and explained everything in detail. I will recommend him to my family and friends, should they ever need the best foot and ankle care! Also, his nurse Robyn is awesome and was always quick to respond to phone calls or emails.
